Heartprint privacy policy

Who we are

Your chats stay on your phone
You choose a chat file (an export from WhatsApp or a similar app) with your phone's file picker. Heartprint reads it on your phone, works out the results (counts, times, words, emojis) on your phone, and keeps the results in the app's private storage on your phone. The text of your chats, the names and the phone numbers in them are never sent to us or to anyone else. We have no server that receives them and no account to sign in to.
Chats contain other people's messages too. Please only import chats you are part of. To delete everything the app stored, open Settings and choose "Erase Your Data", or uninstall the app.
What leaves your phone
Only technical and advertising data that our service providers' tools collect. None of it contains your chat content.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos or chat content. We do not sell personal data. Payments are handled by Google Play; we never see your card details.
Your choices
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland: a consent message appears when you first open the app. Ads, ad measurement by Meta and TikTok, and ad-related analytics start only after you agree. You can change your choice later in Settings, "Privacy choices".
- Everywhere: you can reset or delete your advertising ID and turn off ad personalisation in your Android settings (Settings › Google › Ads).
- Subscriptions are managed or cancelled in Google Play at any time.
Legal bases (EEA, UK)
Consent for advertising, ad measurement and the related analytics. Contract for the subscription you buy. Our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable for crash reports.
Transfers outside your country
Our providers (Google, Meta, TikTok, RevenueCat) may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long data is kept
- On your phone: until you erase it or uninstall.
- Firebase Analytics: up to 14 months.
- Crash reports: about 90 days at Google.
- Purchase records (Google Play, RevenueCat): as long as needed to run your subscription and meet legal duties.
- Ads and ad measurement (Google, Meta, TikTok): under each company's own policy.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or object to its use. Because we have no accounts, we can only find data linked to your app instance ID; write to hi@appvenue.io and we will explain how to find it in the app. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Heartprint is not designed for children under 18.
Independent app
Heartprint is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to WhatsApp or Meta Platforms. The recap results are made for fun and are not advice about any relationship.
